Doomsday

After a long
bombardment
of one disaster
then another
doomsday
prophets
fill the
air waves
telling people ,
“Prepare
the end is near!”
but the truth is-
death is always
near with
each breath
you take.
Learning to live
every day
as if it is
the last
is good counsel
because
today may be
the day you die
but if by chance
you live
to be 105
and haven't
accomplished
anything
because
you were
afraid of death
you let life pass
you by.
