Angels are easy to recognize
bathed in light
but harder to distinguish
when they come disguised
in poverty and disease.
They wait for a loving touch
from our hearts to theirs.
Ours is not to judge
but to respond to God’s creation
in all his glory.
Diamonds are found deep in coal
their brilliance released when pressure
is applied and the miner digs long enough
to discover the jewel buried in the dark.
Look around and see if you can find
the angels God has sent.
