Wash Day

Sheets flap
in the breeze

while the sun

shines throughout the day

arms on men’s shirts
reach out for women's blouses

next are rows of diapers,
socks hung in pairs,

little kids clothes
different sizes

all kicking and shaking
without any music

hung out for 
line dancing

until they are dry.
