hanging below the waistline not fitting in
skin covered in tattoos black and blue
hiding hurts from long ago
huddled on the corner in the hood
or in the yard near a prison guard
generations of abuse - gang colors
flash signals of their crew - lost warriors
of displaced land barons and royalty
from other tribal loyalties.
