Zombies

Young kids are fascinated with zombies,
the living dead who wander the earth 
consuming the flesh of the living. 

Seems to me it is a way to cope 
with aging parents and grandparents
who refuse to die, sucking life from the young

insisting they give up their lives
to become caretakers and executors
keeping the oldsters wandering through life 

until the young ones realize they 

are the undead trying to scrape out a living

by eating the flesh of the old people around them.
