Every author must find her voice
to express her point of view
using metaphor and descriptive language
to allow another to enter her world.
Where does she look when that voice
has been silenced for thousands of years?
She looks to her soul
and in her silence listens for that whisper
then through practice discovers the words
to make her thoughts and feelings come alive.
